A Note from the Founder

Manchester, July 2026

Why I work this way

I spend my weeks inside B2B services and technology companies as a fractional CMO. Consulting firms, tech services businesses, search firms. Different sectors, same profile: founder-led or investor-backed, selling expertise to careful buyers, with an exit or a step-change on the horizon.

Three marketing gaps show up in almost every one of them. Positioning that describes the service instead of the buyer's problem. Reporting that shows activity instead of revenue. A brand that undersells the business at exactly the moment a buyer prices what they see.

I will not claim portfolio heritage I do not have. What I can tell you is that the businesses I work inside share the profile of your portfolio companies, and the work transfers: the same positioning conversations, the same attribution arguments, the same diligence-readiness problem.

If one of your companies shows all three gaps, send me the name. I will come back with three observations specific to that business, and you can judge the work on that.

What We Believe

Three Rules the Work Follows

  1. 01Rule

    Evidence over adjectives.

Every claim a number, a name or a document. If a sentence could not survive diligence, it does not ship.

  2. 02Rule

Revenue is the only metric that matters.

Marketing reports in pipeline and closed revenue, in board language. Activity metrics are diagnostic, never the headline.

  3. 03Rule

The buyer's problem, not the service.

Positioning starts from the problem the buyer already has, priced in their units. The service is the answer, not the headline.
