The marketing function for a boutique retail executive search firm, led by Limivex
Limivex runs the marketing function for Nicholas Alexander, leading the strategy and owning the result. The Brief
What they came to us with.
Nicholas Alexander is a boutique retail executive search firm with more than 25 years of sector expertise. Based in the UK with international reach, they place senior leaders across retail, direct-to-consumer and the restaurant group, and run a dedicated diversity-focused search practice for clients building broader representation at the top of the business.
The challenge for a boutique firm in a noisy executive search market is constant. Global brands outspend you on visibility. You have a real story, but it has to land in a feed that does not slow down for nuance. And the senior buyers who matter have to find you and remember you, all without the firm losing its boutique edge.
So we lead it. Limivex is the senior marketing leadership and the execution capacity the firm did not have in-house: we set the strategy, the team builds it, and we direct the work in collaboration with Nicholas Alexander. That shows up as a custom site giving each service line and sector specialism the page it deserves, an ongoing library of guides and Retail Leadership Lens articles, and a weekly LinkedIn cadence into the feed where senior retail leaders read.
The Website
A custom site, with a page for each service line and sector.
The boutique positioning gets the room it deserves on the site. Each service line has its own page, from retail executive search through diversity-focused search to leadership development, written and designed to read like the practice itself.

The Content Engine
Guides for senior retail leaders, and a journal that earns the read.
Original guides sit on the site as lead magnets for senior retail leaders. Alongside them, the Retail Leadership Lens journal publishes long-form articles on leadership, technology, retail and recruitment, written in the same voice that runs through the rest of the work.
Guides
Original lead magnets, designed end-to-end.

From Challenge to Opportunity
The journal
The Retail Leadership Lens.
Long-form articles for the senior retail reader, indexed by theme. Pieces like “The Board They Never See”, “The Interim Paradox” and “The Loneliness Premium” run as the regular content rhythm of the site.

The Channel
A weekly LinkedIn cadence into the feed of senior retail leaders.
Every piece of the content programme gets cut into LinkedIn assets and published on a regular schedule under the Nicholas Alexander name. LinkedIn authority is the playbook we lean on hardest for recruitment and search firms; it is the same one that took Meyrick Consulting's newsletter into the top 5% globally, with more than 28,000 subscribers in about eight months.
- Designed posts and data pieces
- Single-image posts that lift a strong line or a data point from a longer piece and design it for the LinkedIn feed.
- Guide and report teasers
- Pre-release covers and inside pages for each new Nicholas Alexander guide and report, drip-fed to grow the download list.
- Long-form newsletters
- The Retail Resurgence newsletter publishes regularly under the firm's name, written in the same voice and tied to the site.
- Sector commentary
- Reactions to retail news, board moves and the trends shaping senior hiring, posted while they still matter.
